Not for those looking for the typical tightly-bound tennis or running shoes, which provide, or seem to provide, a lot of support. They're fabric and they breath, unlike typical training and tennis shoes. These are light and fairly minimalist, but I use them in the gym while lifting weights and on the cycle. Also comfortable for knocking around. I'd estimate the sole will last a year with typical light to light-moderate use in a gym setting and occasional walking in town.
