Sandals are open footwear consisting, in its most basic design; of a sole which is fastened or held to the foot by straps or thongs, leaving most or all of the foot exposed. Sandals are primarily a warm weather type of footwear and can be classified based on the function and activity for which they are intended or by their design and style. Casual and walking sandals are mainly designed for comfort, while sport sandals are mostly intended to provide support, traction and performance. Fashionable and dress sandals for women may have many of the style variations found on other shoe styles such as medium to high heels, platforms, toe covering etc. Other styles of sandals include, but are not limited to; flip flops, thongs, ankle strap sandals, fisherman sandals, wedge sandals, etc.
Summer is the warmest period of the four seasons and is characterized by abundant sunshine, very little precipitation and warm to hot weather. Summer occurs between spring and fall during June, July, and August in the northern hemisphere, and during December, January, and February in the Southern hemisphere.

I have had these sandals before and worn the totally out. I use them as a casual sandal and a travel shoe. I can walk all day in them wo/any foot discomfort. They are great for summer travel in Europe when we walk for hours keeping up w/a tour guide.
Birkenstock Milano Nubuck Great Sandal!

I love this sandal. One of my all time favorite Birkenstocks. I really like the nubuck, a softer and more refined suede. This shoe is very comfortable out of the box. I don't usually need to break in most of the Birkenstocks that I wear. I wear this one when I am going to do alot of fast walking, so I don't have to worry about backing out of my shoe. I wear this one year-round, with socks in the winter. Our winters in Texas are mostly dry and not usually very cold.
Wears this shoe: For walking year-round.
