I always try to buy Stride Rites but this one seemed to be not as wide as 'wides' normally are. But it is still a good shoe and these have outlasted any others.

I like this shoe because it can be worn dressed up or down. It doesn't seem to be as wide as I would have hoped and I'm glad I went up a half size. My daughter wears thin socks or stockings with it. I find that leather dress shoes in general tend to run a bit narrower and smaller than athletic shoes/sneakers so I would recommend going up a 1/2 size. The nice thing about this shoe is that it can be worn more often than just dress up occasions so I think we'll get a bit more use out of it.

I bought these shoes for my little girl and they are sooo cute. She can't wear the normal mary janes even in wide because she has such a high arch but these seem to fit her great!
