This is a sturdy gym shoe without the silly cloth or mesh that most toddler shoes have this year. We wanted a solid leather shoe for the Ohio wet/ slushy winter ahead - mesh is no good. We love this shoe and the velcro tabs are sturdy enough that they seem like they will hold up until she outgrows the shoe.
