My 1 year old just started walking and these shoes are great. They are light weight and easy for him to walk in. The leather stretched out a bit which makes them even easier to put on. At first, they were a little tight. My son wears them without socks everyday and they have been comfortable and adorable! I would recommend this shoe.

Stride Rite makes great kids shoes and these are no exception. Love the flexible sole which mimics barefoot walking. Great for early walkers. I put that these may be wider than normal only because my little guy has a wide foot and we didn't have to order the wide size. I'd say they'd probably fit a normal width foot too, but maybe not narrow.

My little guy is a good walker with tiny feet. The lady at the Stride Rite store said he needed the 'off and running' sandals, but the starting size was way to big for my son so I had no choice but to get the first walkers. They have been really great, they are super light, he's never tripped up while wearing them and they protect and support his feet well. The bottom is very flexible allowing them to feel the ground beneath which is so important in these early years. My only concern was it seemed the back of the sandal irritated his upper heel, they were red when I took the shoes off but it never seemed to actually cause a blister and he never seemed bothered by it. The insole has gotten worn pretty quickly but the outer sole is still looking great. Overall I believe this is a great 1st sandal and would purchase again.

I love this shoe! It fits my baby true to size, is more adorable than the picture makes it out to be, and has an insert that allows you to measure baby's foot for fit instead of having to stop by the store multiple times for a measure. You can't go wrong with it!
