I bought this sneaker for my 5-1/2 year old boy. I wanted something he could easily put on but that looked stylish and for his age. Most of the sneakers with velcro straps look like they are for toddlers. They have held up very nicely. I would definitely purchase them again.

He can put them on and take them off rapidly with no help which makes him feel independent. They wash up easily when he gets them muddy and they look as good as new.

My son is 6 and can't sit down long enough to tie shoes so these are great. They open really wide which is terrific if your guy has a wider foot like mine and sometimes has a hard time getting into a shoe. He is tough of shoes and they have held up great. Stride Rite's in general seem to be a little on the wider side so just felt this shoe fit him like a glove. would highly recommend this.

My 8 year old son and I both love this brand - they're super easy to put on - they look good - the soles are rugged and are good for P.E. at school. He always outgrows them before they wear out - so to me they are worth the money. They feel like sneakers to him - but look a little dressier so they can be worn with khakis/corduroys when I want him to look a little nicer - yet they always work well with jeans and even shorts.He likes them because they're easy to put on and the sole has a cool pattern that looks like a saber tooth tiger paw print.
