Shoe is narrower than stated June 17, 2011

Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt narrower than marked
I purchased and XW but the shoe was narrower than I thought. My son wears XW in all shoes but these don't fit. Fortunately it is Velcro closure so I don't close it too tight

They are brilliant as the child has very wide feet. It is a shame that the largest size you have is an 8. They are supportive and comfortable and good for growing feet.

I bought this shoe for my 1 year old, who is very active and has wide feet. The shoes at first didn't seem wide enough, but I figured they're leather so they'd stretch. They have stretched a little, and he doesn't try to take them off like he did with his other shoes, so they seem comfortable on him. They leave some marks on his feet, but I think that's just the nature of wearing sandals than them no being wide enough. It did take him a day or two to get the hang of wearing them, but once he did, he wears them all day now. I LOVE how they look -- classy but casual at the same time. Very happy with these shoes.

Stride-Rite Reid Shoes August 30, 2010

Bought a 7.5 wide and they are perfect. There is no crimped sock inside nor tightness for a growing little foot. If your little one has a more "blocked shape" foot, always go for the wide shoe sizes. The child will be a happier little camper. Our grandson wants to walk everywhere at 20 months in these shoes and refuses to get in the stroller! Now, that's a comfortable shoe. The inside is soooo soft. You won't regret the purchase.

Reid Sandal August 26, 2010

I bought this sandal as a first shoe for my son. Very flexible (more than a regular closed shoe) and allows air in for foot to breathe. My son measures as a wide but he needed extra wide in this shoe. I read another review that said the same thing. Shoe fits great and he walks very well in it.
