I went to the StrideRite website to measure my child's feet to find the right shoe size. To my surprise, he would need a 6XXXW (which they don't make) due to his chunky-shaped foot. So we found a 6.5XXW in this shoe and it fits him great! Well built shoe provides lots of support for our extremely active toddler!

I bought this shoe because my 20 month old son has exceptionally wide (and pudgy) feet. Stride Rite XW shoes are the only ones I've found so far to fit. Shoes that lace up (rather than velcro closures) work best for him (XW only).
