I have twin girls that were a size 5.5 W. I had recently had them measured at a Stride Rite store and then bought these shoes on line. These shoes were way to small...in both length and width. I could barely get the strap to touch the velcro for it to stay. So, we sent them back and got a 6 W. This pair fit much better, so we kept them. I still can't get the strap to go all the way across, but there is plenty of room for them to wear them for a while. Not sure why this shoe doesn't seem to be as wide as other Stride Rites...I've never had this problem before. Wides have always worked. Would still recommend this shoe and my girls love them and keep them on. Just order a half size bigger and a little wider than normal!
