I bought this shoe because it was a reasonable facsimile of a shoe from the Tudor period with the squared off toe and visible stitching. I needed it because I was playing Sir Thomas More in a production of A Man For All Seasons. It was a perfect solution and was comfortable but it truly was at least one, perhaps two full sizes too long. I wear a 9.5 to 10 depending on the shoe so ordered a ten. I'm not tall and on me it looked like a clown shoe it was so long! Ordered a 9 which was much better but I have a feeling I could have even worn an 8.
