Patent leather shoes are perfect for formal occasions, giving a nice touch of shine in contrast with your suit pants. The white leather of the wingtip felt tacky (I mean sticky, not in poor taste) at first, but that should go away with handling and the natural oils of your hands.

Well, I can't review this shoe as far as performance. I purchased them for my husband's Halloween costume. (30's Gangster) The purchase was a smooth transaction. They were shipped and recieved quickly. The shoe is very nice for the price. Other identical style shoes range much higher.It fits as it should. And they look well made. And my husband likes the style much better than many of the other Oxford Gangster 30's style shoes. As he'll probably only wear them one night and then they'll be buried in the closet for a decade, I'm afraid we'll never know how they stand up to normal wear. But they do seem very well made.We are happy with the purchase and the shoe.
