Gloves are made from a wide variety of materials and are used generally to provide protection from the cold, skin protection from friction and/or enhance dexterity and grip such as the case of golf and baseball gloves. Muffs and mittens are tube-like handwear made of warm and insulating materials which can be both open or closed at one end.
