Riddell Man March 24, 2010 Reviewer: Anonymous from Nebraska Shoe Size: Felt half size smaller than marked Shoe Width: Felt narrower than marked Good shoe for many. I just couldn't wear this, nor the Wilson knock-off, due to comfort and I played the D-line. Hard to push off without a toe! I used the Riddell square toe. (red sole, rubber cleats ) Did very well. More flexible and wore all game long - I was instantly ready! Also could punt well in the Riddell but not so good with the Spot-bilt/Wilson. Lots of guys tied up the toe and kicked well with this shoe. Abby Daigle (Oklahoma St) was a freak but boy could he kick! He used a white modified Spot-bilt. Ted (above) & I give each other grief these days--but whatever worked--got used in the 70s. I coached a few kids in kicking and there are a "straight legger or two" still around. Kinda fun to watch. Those were the days. Wears this shoe: 1973-74
