Wide Toe Box, Orthotic-Friendly, Reliable Support

This walking shoe's toe box is just wide enough, which makes orthotic use comfortable. Even without an orthotic, the shoe provides good arch support, heel stability and heel "bounce" for a comfortable walk. For plantar fasciitis orthotic, the lining can be remove and the shoe's depth allows plenty of room for custom orthotics. This is the only shoe that has been a reliable walking shoe that accommodates my foot needs, holds up and doesn't look like a sneaker. This is my 7th pair.

The Spira shoes are amazingly comfortable and supportive. I am an RN working in a busy emergency department and work 12+ hour shifts. Good shoes are essential and these are the best that I have found for the purpose.

My feet are so deformed from arthritis, including crookedbig toes as well as hammertoes, that I have been unableto wear anything but sandals for many years. And in a wetclimate like Oregon, that is not practical. I have triedso many shoes nobody believes it! On a fluke I decidedto try Spira, even though they are not recommended forflat feet. I cannot believe that I can wear them forseveral hours with no foot pain!! I could not be happier!!Thank you Spira! For anyone with really bad feet I saygive the Spira a try. They sure do work for me!

I am in a exercise class and these shoes are perfect. They are comfortable, have lots of support and very easy to get on and off my feet.
