Product Description (Men's Spira Del Sol)

A light weight well cushioned training shoe that provides a high level of responsiveness. A combination of cushioning and responsiveness that is difficult to achieve. The patented WaveSpring is located in the heel for maximum impact absorption that will not break down over the life of the shoe. The forefoot has anatomically aligned flex groves that incorporate a six pillar cushion matrix designed to maximize forefoot cushion, flexibility and toe off efficiency. The mid-foot is supported by a molded external shank support structure to aid in stability.

A lite shoe, I had a previous pair of del sols that I used for bumming around town. After about 3 years, one of the heels started to squeak. There are some differences between the old and new models. on the new shoe, the mesh top is stiffer. While this might make it more robust, the softer,thinner and flexible feeling I had with the old pair felt better. I have gout so many shoes bother me.

I always like Spira. I always buy a half size larger. This is one of the best values in Spira I ever had.
