Very comfortable but falling apart
By R, from VA | October 23, 2013
These are very comfortable for my problem feet but after 3 1/2 months of wearing everyday, this sole of the shoe on one shoe is falling off. Hoped they would have lasted longer.

Wears this shoe: For walking and for aerobics
Recommended by my orthopedist but ...
By Mimi, from NYC | June 19, 2013
I was disappointed in this shoe. My doctor said that it would support my foot while doing aerobics. The shoe looks nice but it just hasn't felt comfortable to wear. I find that I can't wait to take them off at the end of the day. I don't think I'll buy another pair.

Wide Toe Box, Orthotic-Friendly, Reliable Support
By PBR, from Los Angeles | March 04, 2013
This walking shoe's toe box is just wide enough, which makes orthotic use comfortable. Even without an orthotic, the shoe provides good arch support, heel stability and heel "bounce" for a comfortable walk. For plantar fasciitis orthotic, the lining can be remove and the shoe's depth allows plenty of room for custom orthotics. This is the only shoe that has been a reliable walking shoe that accommodates my foot needs, holds up and doesn't look like a sneaker. This is my 7th pair.

Hoped.... but not to be.
By Lynn, from Kansas | January 17, 2013
I bought this shoe because I have problems with my feet - plantar fasciitis and neuropathy. One of the reviews said the shoe was great for the plantar problem... so I hoped it would work well for my situation. I am used to having motion control in the heel of the shoe, but this shoe does not do much of that, which makes the plantar fasciitis flare up; also the coil in the ball of the foot area made my neuropathy feel worse. I really like the leather uppers, and the fact that you can get the shoe in other colors beside white. I think the Spira Classic Leather Walker would be a good shoe for most everyone...it is well made and of good quality. It just wasn't made for me, I guess.... I am returning the shoe to Shoebuy.

springs hurt
By Anonymous, January 07, 2013
like the look of the shoe. I have two different sized feet, but the distance from my heel to the ball of my foot is the same on both feet. So I guess my toes are different lengths. Spring on one of the feet is hitting in the wrong spot and is causing my foot to hurt. I don't feel the spring on the other foot. ugh!

No More Sore Feet
By Bev, from Canyon Lake, CA | January 01, 2013
I have heel spurs and Plantars Fasciitis, so shoe comfort and support is very important. I purchased the same shoes two years ago and it was time for a new pair.

My 2nd pair of Spira work shoes
By Bonnie, from Honolulu, Hawaii | December 20, 2012
I had bought Spira just because I was looking for another pair of Brooks addition walkers and after buying 3 pairs I could not find my shoe size at Shoebuy.I then orderd Spira's and really liked the soft feel.I have had many things wrong with my feet, plantar fascitis and a bone bruise. After treatment I need better shoes than SAS. Shoebuy has always been alot cheaper than outside. I really like these shoes because I'm a waitress and have to carry and stand on my feet alot. The only drawback is that It seems to be wearing quiet fast. I will try the second pair and see if it makes a difference.

for the price I expected more
By Judy, from Brookings, OR | December 18, 2012
Nice looking shoe, but just wearing them in the house for a few hours hurt my feet and were just not comfortable. The width gave me enough room in the toe area that I need but the heal felt to wide and feet kept slipping.
