Expected more from this shoe

I used to work in a shoe dept and am familiar with the brand. Loved the color so assumed I could not go wrong with this shoe. Narrow, so I exchanged for a wider size. Does not feel like the support you would expect from Softspots - I had to purchase insoles to make them comfortable, and I still would not walk too far in them. Not sure how far I trust the traction (why do they make just men's shoes that have traction???). Continue to wear them only because I splurged to buy them to begin with and can't afford to replace them. Still love the color!

We ordered size 7 since that is the size we bought before. These shoes were slightly tight, so we had them returned for 7.5. They fit perfectly. And are very comfortable. Thank you very much.

not for orthotic wearers!

I had been looking forever for a navy oxford & was excited to find these. The shoes looked great - just what I was looking for, I thought. Unfortunately, they didn't come with removable insoles, & when I carefully pulled them out to try on the shoes with my custom-made orthotics, the arch pad glued to the insole tore. That would have been ok, since I didn't intend to use the insole that came with the shoes. With my custom orthotics, after wearing the shoes for less than an hour to test them, I was in pain. The shoes weren't deep enough for the custom orthotics; the tops of the shoes were digging into the tops of my feet. Since the pads under the original insole are torn, I can't return the shoes & since they're not deep enough for my orthotics, I can't wear them either. So basically, I paid for a pair of shoes that I can't wear. LESSON: If you wear custom orthotics, don't buy shoes that don't have a removable insole!
