My foot is a bit square, and toes are a bit shorter than average. Had on a light-weight sock, this 5-WW (2W) shoe had my toes against the upper seam with no wiggle room, and little toe was off the side/lathe base. Will be exchanging -- going to try 5-1/2.

I wear a size 8AA and these are the most comfortable shoes other than tennis that I have purchased and I didn't have to "break" them in. Love them.
