I needed a dressy pair of sandals for my daughter's wedding that were comfortable since I'm prone to toe problems. While not exactly a 'comfort' sandal, they were just right for the occasion. It's not a gaudy gold, but bright enough to make it a dress shoe. I wore them with a champagne lace dress and the wedge heel worked well on the outdoors venue. They can also be worn with other outfits to dress them up. One thing - if you have a chubby foot the cross strap probably won't fit. Other than that, it was a great shoe.
