I live in New Zealand and wanted a safe, sturdy basket for my Shipperke/Papillon puppy so she could enjoy outings on our bikes. Being a cross breed, was unsure of size requirements so aimed for bigger size and heavier weight than others on offer. Product is good quality materials, easy to put together and use. The product is exactly as discribed and the pictures portray. We are thrilled with our purchase and look forward to safe, secure and comfortable bike trips for many years ahead due to the robust nature of the product.

Good for a smaller dog July 14, 2011

I bought this to cart around my 11 pound yorkie-poo. He is on the longer/taller side so he just fits into it. It is almost square in shape so longer dogs will be a tight squeeze. However, he fits comfortably in it, and the harness keeps him in and doesnt allow for an esacape. The basket didnt slide for me (as some other people noted in reviews) and I attached it per the instructions. I plan on lining the bottom with more cushioning. Overall this is a great product. Im not sure how a 15# dog would fit into it, but it depends on the shape of the dog. It also makes a regular bike basket so its serves double duty when you dont have the pup with you!

Amazing Bike Basket For My Dog! June 09, 2011

I was so excited to see that the bike basket was the perfect size for my bike, and very easy to put on and off! I wasn't sure if it would move while I ride, but it doesn't - very good quality. I have a Yorkie, and he loves going on bike rides with me! I put a pad on the bottom of the basket for more comfort. It's very easy to hook him in, but he does not like the rain cover. I love the color red, and plan to use it every time I ride!

I purchased the sporty bike basket and both Teddy and I really like it! It's sturdy, roomy (Teddy is 5lbs and growing), and has nice pockets for your extras. This bag has high quality construction and securely attaches to my bike. I would definitely recommend it.

The bike basket I got works pretty well. The pockets in the front are pretty deep for storage. The rain gear is attached to one pocket so you have to keep the smaller pocket open when you use it (that was unexpected, but a minor inconvenience). My dog is an 11 lb maltipoo and he fits in the basket all right. It would probably be hard to go any further than that because my dog doesn't have enough room to turn around. He can only sit in one spot (however he is tall, a low lying dog like a dachshund would probably be better). He seems to enjoy it though. The basket is sturdy. It may slide more to one side but the more you tighten it the more secure it is. My dog doesn't slide around everywhere; he seems pretty snug. I would be curious to see how the sporty version compares to the regular. Overall I'm pretty happy with it and I think my maltipoo is too. We have been enjoying our bike rides.
