They have a smooth toe seam as well as a supportive arch brace.
They feature a cushioned sole and are naturally odor free.
The socks are constructed from 90% wool, 8% nylon, and 2% spandex.
Very soft for such a high wool content!

In my experience it's hard to find wool kneesocks for women, and often, things advertised as wook are actually only a little wool in a blend of other fibers. These are pretty soft yet have a high wool content, and they wear pretty well--I've had one of my pairs for about 5 years now! The sole and heel are several layers thick which means they wear better and are very comfortable, but just know that you can't wear them with thin dress shoes, though dressy oxfords do okay. On the other hand, if you are going to be walking or hiking, especially in a damp climate, these will keep you warm and comfortable yet are fairly slim profile. Now, I just wish they would come in red or other fun colors!

I have enjoyed wearing Smartwool (the shorter walking and hiking socks in natural color). I needed a darker color, so these seemed like a good choice. I was looking for a shorter sock, but as it turns out I really like the length of these socks - they stay up and the color works well with dark green pants and gives a dressier look than the shorter natural socks (which I still love for more casual). I would buy these again and would like them in a dark gray color.

These are very warm and comfortable. It was advertised as larch and for some reason I thought that was a blue. I should have checked with crayola!

A friend bought me A pair A few years ago because my feet are always cold. After wearing Smartwool socks for A while , I ordered several pairs myself, & have given them to friends.They are clearly the warmest & best socks I have ever had. The added bonus for the knee-hi's, they actually stay up all day !

Short cotton socks don't do it for me in the winter. These are wonderful for keeping my legs warm and my feet comfortable, warm, and dry during cold, damp winter days. Highly recommend them.
