It was a great price for the velcro style. Shoebuy is a great internet shopping company. Not sure how the shoe will hold up, as he has not wore it yet.

The shoe is attractive, but like most Skechers' products quickly suffers from highly noticeable wear on the front end. Skechers needs to design its kids' shoes to delay the scuffs that kids produce from playing on playgrounds or wherever they run around.

One of the reasons I picked this shoe for my 7 year old was that it could double as a gym shoe and a "dress shoe" because it was black. Within 3 days of my son wearing the shoe the black layer of leather/vinyl at the toe of both shoes had worn off showing the silver/grey layer below. The shoes looked old within days of wearing them. So while it is still fine as a gym shoe and my son loves it - it doesn't work as a nicer shoe too like I had hoped.
