A little uncomfortable in the front because of the hard toe area. Not too flexible.

I bought the Skechers Midways for work. They were a half size too small, so I had to send them back for a bigger pair. I work in a very fast paced job environment where the floors are concrete and could get slippery. The non-slip sole will be needed. They are also lighter than normal steel toed boots and still give you the protection you need. I've worn the Skechers Midways for about 3 weeks, and they are still not quite broken in, but are very comfortable.

I am an active person who enjoys walking long distances. The steel toe wasn't necessary, but it certainly didn't detract from the comfort of the shoe. Also, I enjoyed the cut of the shoe. I was quite impressed! I did have to wear it for a day or two to properly break it in, but that wasn't a problem.

I own and have owned Sketchers over the years. The Softside Midways I will be using on the job. They have a lighterweight "steel toe"(non steel alloy). As with steel toe I normaly need to go up in size or get a wider width, which takes away from a good fit. I ordered these in the same size as my everyday Sketchers, they were a tad snug, but I wore them around the house to break in and that seemed to give them the room I needed. I will start wearing them to work next week.
