The Scout is a solid good looking boot that can be worn in the office just as easily as it can outdoors or wandering about town. The leather is a bit stiff to start with, so expect to break these in for a while. Once they soften up these boots should last for a good long while. The sole is the typical thick sturdy rubber you find on most Skechers with a decent lug to it for traction. The only real downside is the boot is very light on padding under your foot. This is pretty common of Skecher's boots, and it can take a bit of time to get used to this. If you walk a lot, you'll need to take some breaks to give your feet some time to acclimate.
