I discovered Skechers about a year ago, and this is the seventh pair I've purchased. As an active middle-aged woman, I find these shoes to be easy to slip on in the morning, and by the end of a day running around, my feet do not ache at all. I wear my Skechers without socks - just a little squeeze of baby powder in each shoe every morning - and my feet remain cool and dry (and I live in Arkansas, which has very hot summers). There's no rubbing, no pinching. I also suffer from progenation, which is where your feet tend to roll in when you walk, and these shoes are sturdy enough to help keep me walking straight, yet they are light enough to wear in the summer. I haven't washed them yet, but if they are like my other pairs, they will hold up nicely in the delicate cycle.
