After having these shoes for about two months, I can say they are definitely for street / pavement use. They are very comfortable but don't expect to wear them on any terrain rougher than your front lawn.

The color was not charcoal on the entire shoe and this was the reason for buying them as a Christmas gift. Otherwise they were great.

The picture and description of this shoe is deceiving. It is described as charcoal and looks that way in the picture but the actual shoe has brown design all around the edges. It is not at all what I wanted and I was extremely disappointed in the deception of the image.
