| | About Hammertoes: |

| | | Hammertoes are a foot condition in which the toes buckled and bend downward in a hammer-like shape. This is usually caused by repeated bumping of the toes against the front of a shoe. Over time, the joints enlarge and stiffens generating inflammation and eventually calluses. |

I do like the extra width at the toes. Wish it was a little more stylish. Velcro is noisy - but I guess that is all they can use. I am in real estate and sometimes have to remove my shoes when showing a home. Most of the time I can slip them off and on without the velcro.

Didnt break in correctly

I've been wearing this style of Orthofeet shoes for a few years now. For the most part I have been pleased but this particular pair just did not break in properly. It is the size I always order but for some reason I am getting blisters on my toes and heels. I tried to make comfort tweaks with the included inserts but to no avail. The fit was good the first week or so but as time went on they fit more and more poorly. Not sure what went wrong with this pair. Unfortunately, I can not return since they obviously have been worn and I threw out the box.

This is the first time I have ordered these shoes. I wish they had included instructions on how to use the extra two layers of inserts (something other orthotic shoes provide.) I have an orthotic brace on the left foot, and I have to get shoes that are wide enough to accommodate the brace. I am pleased with these shoes, but wish I had bout 1/2 size larger. (I read reviews that they ran 1/2 size larger. I did not find this to be true.) They are very comfortable. They look like regular shoes, rather than an orthotic shoe. They scuff quickly.

Excellent shoe but dont buy in wide if your foot isnt truly wide

I LOVE THESE shoes. I only wish I had bought a regular width. For some reason, since I thought I would be wearing heavier socks with the shoe, since I planned on wearing these in the winter, I thought I would need a wide. Well for thinner socks, the shoes move around a lot. The socks come up my foot and I end up only having a sock on for about half of my heel and the rest of the foot is bare in the shoe. I overpronate and was diagnosed with tarsal tunnel and other feet issues that I literally have no shoes that aren't painful on the bottom. I can wear these shoes all day. Just be careful and buy them true to your side or you will end up with feet wedgies! If you have feet issues you will love these. They are very supportive also.
