I bought these as my "go-to" dress shoes. I can't wear heels higher than 1-1/2 to 1-3/4 inches due to arthritis and balance issues, and since I don't need to dress up very often I really only need one pair of quality, low-heel black dress shoes -- and these fit the bill perfectly. These shoes are very well-made with cushioned insoles and great details that keep them from being just plain pumps. I still have to add cushioned insoles (as I do with every shoe I buy except for flip-flop styles) because I have exceptionally thin feet, but that is not the fault of the shoes. I'm very glad I found these and feel sure they will suit my needs well for quite some time.
Wears this shoe: Any time I wear a dressy outfit, such as special occasion dinners & parties.

I bought the patent leather because the price was right and I didn't like the way the real leather looked with creases/cracks. I like the style of the shoe, but it has a definite texture on the patent leather. I would prefer a smooth look. The texture is somewhat noticeable in the picture, but I decided to try them out. The shoe was pretty true to size, but I had a small gap in the heel. I considered keeping them and putting a heel insert in, but ultimately decided to return them because I didn't love them.
Wears this shoe: I would have worn these to work or for dressing up.
