I started buying the Wolverine Work Boots as a results of the soles cracking in half on the Timberland Boots. I find these to be very comfortable right out of the box.

I use this around the house for washing the cars, yard work, and routine outdoor activity that includes mud, rain, etc. I also use this for fishing in saltwater including salmon fishing in Canada on charter boats. They are comfortable, warm, and waterproof. They are somewhat heavy, but given their positive attributes this is a minor complaint. Will see how durable they are over the next few years.
