The shoes are very stiff when they first come but adapt fast to the size and shape of your foot. I have found in my experience they do not stain and it is easy to remove anything that may touch the boot. The boots are soft, smooth, and comfortable.

These boots were perfect for my twisted Alice in Wonderland costume at Halloween. The buckles can be either facing out, facing in, or completely removed. Very comfortable all night even though they look intimidating. They did feel a little narrow, but just enough to be snug and not uncomfortable.
