I bought these shoes for our daughter who started Grade 1 in Australia. After having bought an equally expensive pair I find that these shoes are far superior in their construction, material, sole, fit, comfort, padding on the sole, cushioning on the inner sole - just everything about them. I like that there is the velcro closure as they are quick and easy to take off and put on. If you are looking to buy a school shoe for a young girl (our daughter is 5 years old) these are excellent and comparable with the Clarks brand sold here in Aus. It's a shame we paid so much for shipping to Aus (almost as much as the shoes!!) but aside from that well worth the money and we will be buying shoes from Shoebuy for all of the kids when they are old enough to attend school. Our daughter wore these and said they were really comfortable and also for her to run around in.

It is a very nice shoe, wish it came in other colors.It is a good sturdy, nice looking shoe for a child, like always. My granddaughter wears it to Kindergarten each day.Looks very neat and pretty for her outfits. Very appropriate for school and going out. She plays on the playground as well in them.
