This boot fits perfectly into my life style and on my feet as well. Strong durable construction yet lightweight for ease of movement. This boot perfectly fits my needs outdoor field work. Non aggressive tread, full leather, toe guard, easy to slip on and off and tie. I would recommend this boot. I will continue to buy this product as long as it is available.

Severe arthritis has made wearing anything but flipflops painfull,until these were purchased.The extra wide width is just what I needed!Will be ordering another pair in a different color to have in reserve!

While the style and quality of the upper and outsole are superior, I found the comfort not be up to par. The shoe seemed to create more pressure points in the heel -- both underfoot and in the back of heel. After as little as a half hour of wear, I would note significant pain and a general bruise-like feel in this area. With each wearing, the pain increased, thus it was not a matter of breaking them in for me. I stopped wearing the boots for several weeks, and tried them again with the same results; thus, I had to give them away. Perhaps my foot is one of the few that had this trouble, as I note that others seem to very happy with the comfort level of this boot.

The shoes are well made, sturdy, and perfect for what we needed them for. They are a great combination between boot and regular shoe and can be used for wide range of activity. It was designed for working with horses and is good for light farm use. We did sub the insole out for a specialized one that my husband uses in all his shoes. He uses the shoe for everyday use, out in the fields, trips to town, and motorcycle riding. The only draw back we have found is that due to the fact the shoe is water proof it is warmer than it would be otherwise and not as breathable.

Carhartt CMH6100 6" Bal Work Boot

I purchased the Carhartt CMW8100 8" Work Boot in October and loved them as soon as I put them on, but, they didn't hold up to their "chemical resistant" rating and the soles on both boots completely split within 3 months. So, I ordered Carhartt CMH6100 6" Bal Work Boot as their replacement. So far, I'm extremely happy with them but I'm still waiting to see if they hold up any better than the first pair.
