Merrell Vapor Glove
Great shoe for natural running

The quality of Merrell shoes are always great. Expect longer life than any other brand. Alternative is NewBalance Hi-Rez and the VGs Vibram sole makes these over 2 ozs. heavier but Merrell is a better built shoe and will last longer. I was pleased with my Trail Gloves but wanted something without the lugs for roads. The Vapor Gloves are like FiveFingers without the toe pockets. So if you can run in FiveFingers (which never really fit me), you can run in these. You must have strengthened feet to run in these but if you transition carefully you will never want normal joggers ever again. I love the wide toebox which lets my toes splay. I love my ultra comfortable Lemings shoes but they are not really running shoes. The Vapor Gloves snug my feet better so I can do speed work in them without them feeling "sloppy". The Vapor Gloves are similar to Lemings in fit but better for faster running. There is no cushioning so I have a pair of Bare Access for long runs. The VGs are great in the woods and mud. Good traction. So easy to wash them when they get dirty.I read a lot of people say they are larger then expected but in my Trail Gloves size 10 my right big toe barely touches the end of the toe box so i sized up to 10.5 (my normal jogging shoe size). I have found out that you must choose the largest size you can run in and not the smallest. Go up a size and think, is this way too loose, then you can size down? The Vapor Gloves snug my foot but leave my toes in perfect freedom.
