I got this shoe for my 5 year old to wear to school. We're into the second week of school and the shoes has held up really well. We live in the desert so playgrounds are typically blacktop and sand/rocks. There is not one scuff on these shoes. I scored the shoes slightly smaller than marked mostly because I got them slightly bigger so that he had a little room to grow, however, the style and cut of the shoe does not give a lot of wiggle room (unlike shoes you'd find at a place to pay less/discount store).
