Sometimes when you get new boots or shoes, it can take a day to get used to. Not these - they were comfortable from the get go. I work in warehouse and walk on concrete all day. I tend to go through 1 pair of boots a year and these will definitely be a repeat. Good shock absorption, comfort, no stiffness, and fit true to size.

I read the reviews for this boot before buying it and am glad I paid attention to those who suggested to order a half size larger- I did and they're so comfortable! They didn't need breaking in, although it feels a bit "flat" to walk in compared to the other hiking boot brand I'm used to. I only wish they came up on my ankle a bit higher. They're a great boot for light hikes, yet I'm not sure they'll give the ankle support needed for rugged, rocky terrain.

I like this boot so far, although I have not worn it on a rugged hike yet. The boot is comfortable, easy to lace up. It is a little firmer under the ball of the foot than I might like, but a cushioned sock should help.
