I use these for running when it is a little colder out. I think they would also be nice for skiing, but I would wear some tights underneath too as these are very light. I think that these run just a little small through the waist and thigh. They fit, but I think I would like them just a little roomier. I have pretty big thighs though so if you don't, this won't be a problem. I would probably order one size up if I ordered again and hope they weren't too big. I really like these though. They are very light and durable and the zipper pocket is nice.
