Wife forced me to replace the latest pair (me-still comfy; wife-starting to look bad....I lost).Was a 9 M. First replacement was the same. Too tight. Exchanged for a 9 W. Better but snug early...not the shoes' fault. I'm 66 now and feet have gotten wider/flatter and I have bunions.I'm content. Wife happy (that should keep her quiet for a few years ... on this subject.)Retired pair now goes into the hand-me-down cycle. Replacing another pair that was falling apart. They were bought in the mid 90s. Retired pair bought in early 00s. Hand-me -downs are used when I'm doing messy jobs and yardwork. Wears this shoe: All the time eventually
