Hyvent Makes This a Warm Shoe
By Ets, from New England | June 28, 2014

North Face is my favorite casual/walking/hiking shoe brand. The Litewave Guide Hyvent does not disappoint in any way. Note that the Hyvent waterproof membrane makes this shoe warmer than what you would have with a Gore Tex waterproofing. This was a surprise and is why I am only giving this shoe 4 stars

Great shoes

Bought in part for the memory foam insoles which help support my feet much better and are more comfortable for longer walks and activity for my foot neuroma.

Crocs Specialist and Many Other Crocs Styles
By Megan, from Milwaukee, WI | June 25, 2014

Nice looking, size I ordered fit OK (my feet are long and narrow). With no other Crocs to compare to, this style might be fine. Having owned other Crocs styles, this was the least comfortable. I'm tentatively planning to return these (ordered some others to compare first). Pluses: no holes, good for walking in wet grass. Negative: Not soft foot-bed, doesn't seem to flex or feel comfortable (to me) like other styles. I ordered Croc Bistros (love em - much better fitting and comfort - also no holes). The Bistros squeak a bit more and junk gets stuck in their non-stick bottom, but that is the only negative to the Bistros. I also tried Crocswatt (because I was hoping for more comfort than the Specialist with same style) and those Crocswatts are going back due to their removable heal pad which invites leaks and other problems (i.e. a dog could pluck out the heal pad with a little effort). The "Specialist" is cheaper than the other styles, and has a good look and fit (especially for wider feet) - so I wouldn't totally discourage this model. I just wanted the 'marshmallow feel' I had in my old Crocs Classics, and these Specialists were not soft like that. The Crocs Dual Core Sport style were very "marshmallow like" (soft foot-bed) - but that style has holes. The Bistro Professional is VERY wide and more masculine looking. I tried the Bistro Professional for soft foot bed claims - but regular Bistro was better for me. Most Crocs now run short - and sizing is very inconsistent.
