From reading other reviews, I'm guessing that folks who regularly buy dance shoes may find this product true to "dancer" sizes, but for those of us used to buying our kids Stride Rite and tennis shoes, these were way too small. I exchanged the first pair for a size larger than my daughter's normal size, and they are just barely big enough. If she hadn't need them so urgently, I would have exchanged and gone up yet another size. So these seem expensive given that she'll probably outgrow them in a month. My daughter does like the shoes and they look nice, too.

Overall I love the tap shoe. It's very cute and works like a charm (as long as my tapping is working) but it is still a little too small, even though I ordered a half size larger as recommended.

I bought this tap shoe so I could once again take up tap lessons with my grand-daughters. I very much enjoyed tap dancing as a child and still do. By dancing with them I hope they will begin to enjoy all types of dance as I do. My oldest Grand-daughter loves tap! This shoe is just what I needed for tap!

I'm taking beginning tap lessons and wanted to start out with an inexpensive shoe. It's not the most comfortable--they're not leather and therefore don't breathe, and the edge of the open area cuts into the top of my foot. If I get serious about tap, I'll buy more expensive shoes.

I entered the Ms. Texas Senior Pageant (for ladies 60 or better) and needed dance shoes for my routine. I didn't need taps and the shoes came with them, so I took them to a shoe repair man and he removed the taps. They were so comfortable! My feet were very happy even though I was on them almost all day and evening. I would strongly recommend them

My three year old daughter is taking tap classes and I thought it would be good if I had tap shoes too to practice with her. I didn't want to make a huge investment, so I thought I would see what I could find. The shoe is of good quality. I felt the size a little smaller because I was told that a 7 size matches to a European 37. I advise other Europen buyers of a 37 size to buy a 7.5, which probably matches better. In any case I can wear the shoes without problems.
