I wore this shoe to dance class on the day I received it and it felt true to size and very confortable. I have a wide foot and the width of this shoe was perfect. I will buy another when this one wears out!

I followed the advice of other reviewers and bought a full size larger than I would normally and they fit perfectly! I bought them because I needed slippery shoes with a strap and a heel for dance class. My instructor said that suede bottom is more commonly used for swing (my current class), but that leather bottom (like these) can work as well. I've been quite happy with them through 2 classes so far.

I think the shoe looks great for the money. It is a great shoe for dancing. You definitely need to order at least 1/2 -1 size larger. I normally wear an 8 1/2 so I ordered a 9. My toes were very cramped, so I ordered a 9 1/2 and it fit fine.

Danced all night in this shoe. It felt wonderful! The heel height was perfect and sturdy and the shoe glided like I expected it to. I did order a size larger than normal after reading. I plan to buy more of this style.

This is a good shoe in a narrow width. It was purchased for a ballroom dance class. I'm glad to have read other reviews and known to order larger size. The width is perfect. It's a very good shoe.

Not Ballroom Shoes

I purchased these shoes for a ballroom dance class, thinking they were ballroom shoes because they were described as such. However, as my instructor informed me, ballroom shoes do not have leather soles, so these shoes are inappropriate for wear during my class, as they cause me to slip on the wooden floor. I wouldn't have minded if I had known, as the shoes are nice looking.

For future purchases...this is NOT a tap shoe. You can attach taps to it, but they do not come with it. I made this mistake, and I now have to have the taps put on. Also, these shoes run small. Otherwise, no complaints.

Good dance shoe for narrow feet

I bought these shoes to wear latin dancing. I wanted something which was comfortable with a reasonably low heel but dressy enough that I could wear them with a skirt or dress (rather than wearing my jazz slippers or sneakers). I have a narrow foot and find it hard to get shoes in narrow sizes in Australia. These shoes fit well so far and are comfortable, although I am yet to wear them dancing. The other reviewers are right - they run small. I normally wear 8 narrow in street shoes (8.5 in some brands). I ordered both 8.5 and 9N, but have sent back the size 8.5N as it was too short. I would have preferred leather but it wasn't available on the shoebuy website. I plan to test out the synthetic version, and if it's comfortable I'll order a leather pair from another site.

I was very leery of buying shoes online, as I have found it very difficult to find shoes that fit my widefoot. They said to purchase the size you normally wear, which I did. To my surprise and delight, the size and width fit perfectly. They are very comfortable shoes.

These shoes are wonderful character and dance shoes. I'm currently using them for performing in a musical. There is a lot of dancing involved and I'm amazed at how comfortable they are. I listened to the size advice and bought a half size larger than I normally wear and they are perfect.
