I bought this shoe for my elderly father. He says that the sturdiness of the closed-in heel gives him stability as he walks and lessens the possibility of turning his ankle, perhaps leading to a fall. The sturdy sole and heel is durable enough to allow him to walk outside without fear of wearing them out.

Bought these for my grandfather's 95th birthday. I finally found something a 95 year old man didn't have. He's been looking for these slippers for years (which I didn't know). Everything is perfect about them.

Beautiful shoes. They felt a little bit smaller than marked, but one spray of shoe stretch took care of the problem. Almost too pretty for a house shoe!

Bought to replace my old ones of the same design. They were badly worn. The new ones seem much less comfortable, but may be improving after a few weeks of use. I can't be sure.

The L.B. Evans slippers are an exceptional quality,with leather sle and rubber heels. They are like the ones tried to purchase from Eddie Bower. Their product was not as versitlie as my new ones. I do a lot of gardening and in the evening need to do some watering. Rather than change to a more rugged shoe I often walked into the yard in my slippers. I should have known better because within a short period of time they wore out. My new Evans slippers are so well made that I am sure they will stand up to the riggors I will put them through when next I garden in them.

I ordered this slipper because it looked like and was described as something that would be cofortable to wear around the apartment and the adjoining hall and public areas. These slippers were hard, not pliable and I could not wear them. I did give them time to be a true slipper but to no avail. I had to return them.
