Reviewer: Anonymous from Dallas, Texas Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width I have plantar faciatis and have worn these for several years. I find that they do help. Wears this shoe: To work - almost all day and on my feet all day Reviewer: Meg from Morrisville NC Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width I have had two surgeries on my foot and this sneaker fits my orthotics, is very comfortable and gives very good support for flat feet. It has very good stability, although when compared to the similar New Balance shoe, it is not as good. They fit perfect and are the best for walking. This is my third pair of this style. Buying them through Shoe Buy is perfect. No hassles or headaches. The shoes have a lovely liner, nice and cushy - but not enough arch support for my flat flipper feet. I am not thrilled with the gray color, but love the airy mesh which is cool for FL heat. But the toe box is good, I can wiggle the pinkies! The shape is great as they are wide across the bunions and I can do my aerobic walking in these. I almost bought two pairs when I ordered them on sale, but wanted to be sure they fit. I like the really white sneakers but may get used to the gray - they won't show the dirt. The color will not keep me from buying another pair of these - I hope they keep making them!!! I also want to see if they don't wear out on the outside edge since they are specifically for over-pronators (me)and what the walking difference will be. My usual sneakers get worn down on the outside edge and then I turn my ankles, so I have to get new ones. They were all true to their word, it is one of the most comfortable shoes I have worn, and its helped me to walk, when other shoes hurt my knees and feet. This has helped keep my back aligned so that I can walk in comfort. Is slightly narrow in width, so will probably order a wider shoe next time. Will continue to order this shoe in future. I read somehwere this shoe was better for the heavier person, so that is what prompted me to buy as I am heavier and have trouble with plantar fascitis. This shoe is wonderful !!! I haven't put the inserts in yet and have worn them 3-4 days and am not sure I need the inserts! I would definitely recommend these shoes. I'm sold! I have the Brook's Addiction shoe with the my orthotics and use them for home use, the Ariel's I'm using for work, shopping, etc. Both types of shoes are well worth the money and I'm glad I have them! These are "put them on out of the box and go" shoes that come in multiple widths (which is critical for me). They are made of a sort of mesh which helps keep your feet cool, too. I highly recommend this shoe because it is difficult to find such comfort and fit any place else. I have big, flat, over-pronating feet. However, the left shoe of my pair has lumpy stitching where the tongue is sewn in. I can feel it, and I may have to return the shoes. Except for this flaw, they seem light, super flexible, and comfortable with or without my pronation-correcting orthotics. Wears this shoe: Walking the dogs Reviewer: Gail from South Jersey Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width I had these last year and like them Wears this shoe: Daily... walking ,shopping ,etc. Reviewer: Kathy from Brookings, SD Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width This is the first time I have ever tried a Brooks shoe, and I am pleased with it. I decided to try this shoe because it was available in an extra wide width. I have had difficulty finding a comfortable walking shoe due to a bunion below one of my little toes which has made it necessary for me to wear a wide shoe. I am able to wear the Brooks 'Ariel' without feeling discomfort. I also suffer from plantar fasciitis, and find that I can walk quite comfortably because the footbed has a fairly good amount of cushioning. I wish it had even more cushioning in the footbed, but this works quite well with a heavy sock. I am glad that I have finally found a walking shoe that feels comfortable in spite of my foot problems. Wears this shoe: Walking outdoors or on a treadmill Reviewer: Amy B, from Virginia Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width I just started wearing custom orthotics and was recommended this particular shoe. Not only do these shoes accommodate orthotic insoles without any awkward fit issues, but they are extremely stylish while offering so much support. It's nice to find a shoe this supportive without having to sacrifice looks or style. Wears this shoe: 8+ hours daily at work Reviewer: Maureen H from Los Angeles, CA Shoe Size: Felt half size smaller than marked Shoe Width: Felt narrower than marked I wear a custom hard orthotic - my right foot is extremely pronated. I can wear this shoe without the orthotic. It holds me up and is extremely comfortable. I have not been able to wear a shoe without the orthotic for more than 8 years. This one I can, and it is so comfortable. I plan on seeing if they make any more shoes with this sole.
