The shoes were true to size and comfortable.On the other hand the shoes did NOT have the "tumbled" look that was promised,and shown in the picture.I purchased the "tumbled" brown leather which was not supposed to be "smooth". The look I wanted and expected was not what I got. Other than the grain of the leather, I am very happy with the shoes as they are very comfortable and I wear them daily.

I have a very narrow foot, so buying shoes that fit is extremely difficult. I know that Rockports have a great reputation for durability and comfort. As a manager in a large hotel I need comfort, good looks and utility. The RockportBlackville provides for all of my needs.

I am a pharmacist and stand the entire day. This is the only shoe I have worn in 3 years. They're comfortable all day. I wear a pair everywhere except for formal occasions. I have both brown & black & would like to see more options with the color & leather choices. It's a great shoe.

The European look?

I purchsed my present pair of Rockports based on the previous pair I bought over a year ago. I really don't like the, 'European' style where the toe of the shoe looks as though it might fit a duck's foot. (Wide, not tapered.) However, based upon the performance of the previous pair, I will keep these and try not to pay a lot of attention the look.
Wears this shoe: Semi-dress until wear relegates it to an everyday pair.

This shoe is just what I needed since I started to have to be on my feet 8 hours a day in retail. They are like standing on air. It took a few days to break in and get used to them but my lower back and feet are not hurting anymore! Give these a try.

Follow instructions and order this shoe 1/2 size larger than normal and you will have a great fit. I stand and walk on marble floors 6-8 hours per day. I am somewhat flat-footed so I have experienced some severe discomfort over the years. Not with this shoe! This has got to be the best work shoe I have ever had.

I bought this shoe for the second time because the first pair held up so well and feels so comfortable. I have Morton's Neuroma and the best treatment for this is simply comfortable shoes. This shoe works well for office or more rugged environments like manufacturing plants.

The shoes are very comfortable, and provide good support. They also wear very well, lasting me maybe a year before they need repair. I have not been able to find anyone to repair them.

This is solid comfortable shoe that wears like iron but is flexible. You won't wear these with a three-piece suit but a newer pair looks good with utilitarian business/casual wear. These are low maintenance and easy to care for.

The shoes are fine except I feel they are a little heavy for walking shoes. I have been wearing Rockport for years and decided to try this new style.

This shoe is a comfortable wear for all day, with the exception of the collar which becomes a bit uncomfortable around the sides of the ankle. Otherwise, a great shoe.

I was disappointed that the shoe was rough leather outside. I expected to wear it in casual situations and planned to keep it clean and shiny. The left shoe was a bit narrow but I know that is my foot. I wish I knew exactly the width of the shoe before I bought it. It is a heavy shoe but seems to be well constructed and it fairly comfortable. After I work through the above problems, I think I will wear it a long time.
