Review of Men's Rockport Northfield

The pair of men's Rockport Northfield shoes that I recently purchased from Shoebuy is the seventh pair of such shoes I have purchased over the past several years. Obviously, I really like the shoe or I wouldn't have purchased so many pairs (each pair was purchased after the previous pair was completely worn out from daily wear). I like its look, and it is a comfortable shoe. I do have one big complaint about the shoe. The shoe laces wear out much too fast and finding a replacement that is similar in style, length, and color is extremely difficult.
Wears this shoe: Most days, all day long.

"Narrow" in a mens shoe usually translates to "B" width, but this model is an "A".

I purchased three different varieties of Rockport shoes at the same time (Margin and Blackville were the other two), but I kept only these. I'm on my feet all day, so I need a comfortable and light shoe. I did not follow the posted advice regarding the shoe's larger than normal fit. I have wide feet, so perhaps that makes a difference. I ordered a size 10W as I normally would and they fit perfectly.

This is a nicely designed basic brown shoe. The materials are a little thin, and it lacks much of an arch. Don't know if it will last, but the sole is pretty comfortable and the look is what I wanted.

I like the Northfields very much. This is the third pair I've bought. They are comfortable, breathe well, and are truly waterproof. My only complaint is that the soles are too soft and porous. They wear very quickly and once they've worn down a little bit, they can be extremely slippery on certain surfaces.

Very comfortable - light, wide enough and easy to break in. The top of the show rubs against ankles a little bit but not enough to be a problem. A very comfortable shoe.

I like that the shoe has a comfortable feel. I've bought shoes online before and was skeptical that they would feel good but this shoe really is comfortable. I like Rockport shoes. I have another brown pair which I have worn but they are more like mountain-climbing shoes. These are more casual and not as cumbersome. I am considering buying the black as well because they are so comfortable.
Wears this shoe: I usually wear this shoe with jeans and khakis, just casual dress.

this is my 2nd pair of Northfields (in different colors). I came back to buy this after a few years experience with my first pair, and these shoes are excellent because of 1-comfort/lightness 2-weatherproof and 3-versatility (wear casual or business)

I buy these shoes for my brother, who loves them. They are comfortable, don't need "breaking-in", and are water-resistant. He walks everywhere and in all sorts of weather, so these work well for him. I have bought three pairs so far, and have replaced the heels once.

A Lot of time on your feet.

I purhcased these shoes for my son, who is a school teacher and spends a lot of time on his feet. This summer he is working as a city park ranger and the uniform requires black dress shoes. This new pair I just purchased is for the upcoming school year and the older pair is being worn as a park ranger. Both his jobs require a lot of time on his feet. He loves the comfort of these shoes. He also has the same shoes in brown which he wears at his teaching job. So he now has three pairs and loves them.Note, he normally takes a 9.5 but in these the 9 was a better fit.
