For being such a sharp pair of shoes I'm very surprised that Doc Martens didn't add a better insole. They look great and after adding a better insole they also feel great.

I purchased the boots for work. They feel about a half size larger than marked. The back of the boot rubs against the back of my ankle and causes some blistering. The leather tends to easily scratch and scuff.

These were a birthday gift for my 14 year old boy. He loves them! We did order them a 1/2 size bigger to allow for growth. His only complaint is the time it takes to put them on. That is just par for the course with boots though. I wish they were still made in England but the quality is still satisfactory.

I wore them for 1 day, love the style but I found it rubbing the back of my heel, but they may just need to be broken in. After my scab heals ill try to wear them again, but warning to people with sensitive feet like me.

I looked around for the best deal on this type of boot which I bought for my 16 year old son. He wanted a boot this tall (14 eyelets) which will bring the boot to just below the knee or high up the shin. I also wanted the quality of Dr. Martens

Like any other leather boots its hard as heck on the feet when you are "breaking them in".I still havent broke them in yet after a month, the first time i wore them i got the skin rubbed off my achilles tendons really bad , but when these are healed i ll try to break them in again.

I've never had Docs, although I've had many boots in my time. They felt extremely wide at first but once I put on the appropriate socks and threw in my own insole, they fit just right. I think people without foot problems could wear them as it is. They are good leather boots.

I bought these boots for motorcycle riding. They work perfectly thus far for that, and the more I break them in, the more comfortable they are to walk in as well. The steel toe did make it difficult to shift; however, they do offer added safety without being as heavy or clunky as "safety" boots.
