It looks like a dress shoe but is a servicable, walking shoe. This is the fifth pair I have bought.

Comfortable, sturdy casual shoe

I bought this shoe mainly to use in my modest walking program (12 mi. weekly) because my favorite pair of trail shoes were Dunham Cloud 9s and they fit me perfectly. (There were no Cloud 9s available anywhere that I could discover, and besides I wanted something less "technical" looking.) This Dunham shoe is a bit wider and shorter than the Cloud 9s, the tread is not designed to grip the ground as much, and they do not prevent wobbling as much. However, the shoes ARE comfortable and sturdy, they look very nice, and the price was excellent.
Wears this shoe: For any but the most formal occasions.

I have been looking for an everyday work shoe, that is comfortable, and can fit my orthodics in. Well this is it. I have tried the slip on version, from Dunham, but I have found a tie shoe seems to provide better support. I think this is a great shoe for walking, as well as for those who need to go to a convention or tradeshow and be on your feet most of the day. What's nice is having a 10.5 4E foot, and being diabetic, I tend to buy shoes that are too large. However, this shoe fits great, and to me looks great too!

The shoe felt great right out of the box. I liked the price because waterproof shoes usually costs much more.I also like the soles because the don't slip as much on a wet surface as some other shoes I have.

I'm on my third pair of Durham 8000BP shoes. I am very hard on shoes and these shoes have exceeded my expectations. I wear them every day at work, at home, and even as casual shoes when I go out. I've tried other shoes and have not found shoes that can match these.They are comfortable and the rollbar gives great support. And the extra shoes strings that come with the shoes is another great plus.

I bought it because it looked good with jeans and dockers,was waterproof, and was available in a wide.I have really been pleased with the fit and how comfortable the shoe is to walk in.

The shoe fits like a glove just great only thing I would suggest is that you buy the New Balance Diabetic insole to go with the shoe it makes all the diffrince in the world to the comfort of the shoe...The waterproofing is great as I wear them to play golf and the course this week was wet but my feet where dry!!!

These have outstanding quality, good fit for a narrow foot, and are comfortable from the first day while being waterproof - a real plus. They're perfect for touring on foot.

Very light and extremely comfortable. Even better with orthodics. Highly recommended for commuters who have a good walk to work. Look a lot better than tennis shoes.
