I bought the shoe to wear with business suits. The shoe looks very classy. I walked all over Capitol Hill with the shoes brand new and they were very comfortable right out of the box.

Good support but difficulty with break-in period

Shoes are getting better with wear. Would not buy this same shoe again. Did have problems with rubbing areas during break-in period.

I like the look - very shiny / dressy. The inside of the shoe is kinda funny - this bumpy texture which you have to get used to. Maybe it's supposed to simulate some kind of feel-good support but I get more padding from my Ecco's than these.

As advertised. These Johnson and Murphy shoes look great with a suit or dressed down with a jacket and jeans. I wore them during a three day trade show, and my feet felt great! I am going to order the same pair in brown. From Shoebuy.com!

Liked them but the fit is off...

Great looking. I have owned 20+ pairs of J&M's and love em. For some reason all of their newer XTC4 systems shoes don't fit right, and unlike their others, don't feel great right out of the box.

These shoes are wonderful. They are the signature series from Johnston and Murphy and come with an exteremely comfortable insert. I have several other pairs and these are the most comfortable that I have.

Great deal on Johnson and Murphy's

I bought these Johnson and Murphy's Burks for my husband because they were an unbeatable deal. The shoes arrived sooner that expected, in perfect condition. I was personally familiar with Shoebuy's great return policy, just in case, having used it last Christmas when my husband decided on a different pair of slippers. I knew the correct size and width to buy, as my husband already owns a black pair of Burks, purchased at a local Johnson and Murphy store at full price plus tax. He needed the other color but couldn't bring himself to pay the price twice. Normally, he wears his dress shoes once a week and brown much less than black. Going through Shoebuy, I'll be able to surprise him this Father's Day. He's been very satisfied with his store-bought pair of Johnson and Murphy's Burks, so I know he'll also love these. He's very finicky about any shoe rubbing his toes, etc. and is therefore very hard to fit. He had flinched at the price in the store, which was considerably more than he's ever paid. However, once he tried them on he was sold. When I asked how they felt, he pointed to his old shoes and said "Like those". You can't argue with a comfortable fit. And he'll love the great deal I got on this pair from Shoebuy. A Happy ending. Thanks, Shoebuy.

Burks are great!

I bought 2 pairs, 10W, one black and one brown. Fantastic because I am always on my feet as a traveling salesman. Highly recommend because of rubber bottoms. Sharp looking shoes.
