The are overall thicker and heavier than most regular shoe trees (might be too thick for some narrower/finer shoes). Quality-wise they're solid and the cedar smells great. Reviewer: Steve from Baltimore, Maryland Excellent quality and price, fits shoe perfectly, and very prompt delivery! Reviewer: Ben from New York, NY My primary complaint with most shoe trees on the market is that they only fill about about 30% of my shoe, as most are shaped such that the tree does not extend over a large part of the upper. You won't have that problem with these trees; they do a great job of filling out the entire heel and lace areas, and fit my shoes very snugly. Overall I'm very satisfied. Reviewer: AUDIE from NY These are amazing shoes with amazing quality. I did not know shoe trees could be so great. Reviewer: Anonymous from Las Vegas, NV An excellent shoe Tree. Solid Cedar and good ornamental metal. Reviewer: Kevin from Maryland These are nice quality and work well. Reviewer: Al from Cincinnati Virtually identical to the more-expensive ShoeKeeper Washburn. Only difference I noticed was the ShoeKeeper Washburn's metal parts are brass-plated versus the J&M's chrome-plated or stainless steel finish. ?Rochester? is stamped on the metal shafts of both. I especially like its raised vamp. The tensioner exerts enough force to hold the tree securely in the shoe. Fits my size 13D shoes well. Reviewer: Michael from San Francisco Yes, this is a very spendy shoe tree, but it certainly is a well constructed and fitting one. The shoe tree is a toe and heel two piece unit linked by a spring loaded tensioner. I ordered the 'L' size and it fits my 10.5D US size well. The mechanical action of the tensioner exerts enough force to hold itself securely in the shoe. Each shoe tree is finished off with a glazed grab knob. The cedar is very aromatic. Reviewer: Keith G. from California I have tried less expensive shoe trees and they just do not fit properly, this includes the split toe trees. I especially like the raised vamp on the J&M and it supports the instep of the shoe where it would otherwise sag. Reviewer: greg from st louis mo This is the best shoe tree I have ever purchased or seen. If it has the Johnson Murphy name on it, it's going to be great. 4 of 4 people found the following review helpful: Reviewer: Garth Clark from Calfiornia Likes: Not flimsey and has the knob in the correct location as to insert and remove the tree conveniently. Dislike: Can't find these just any place. Why I bought them: Have 2 pairs for years and could not justify the new higher prices in the past. Shoebuy had them priced very well so I ordered 2 more pairs. Viewing reviews 1 - 11 of 11 Return to product detail page
