I would wear this shoe for the next 20 years. I wish I could have several of this same shoe. I would wear them all day, every day of the year. Summer, fall, winter, and spring.

I just bought a 2nd pair after 3 years of wearing for work and home. Living in Wisconsin, the seasons change greatly. In summer, my feet never get hot. Rain doesn't enter at all, snow doesn't bother them either. In winter, my feet never get cold even when it gets -20. Being a shorter height shoe the only thing they are not good for is walking in deep snow since the snow will come over the top and get inside. I have had problems with comfortable shoes for many years, after buying the first pair I never had aching feet again. The shoe is waterproof, keeps feet at a constant temperature, comfortable as anything and last a pretty long time considering I use them all the time, work and play. At frist the price scared me, $200.00 for a pair of shoes??? After deciding to get them and wearing them, the price is well worth the money spent.

ECCO Track II

This is my third pair in 8 years. I absolutely love the shoe, although I was disappointed to see the manufacturing now outsourced to China. Hopefully the quality remains high. My last pair failed in the same area that the first pair did, in the stitching across the top. But, after 3-4 years of hard wear, that's pretty darn good. Can't beat the comfort.

I have been wearing the ecco track II style shoes for ten years now. They are the best shoes I've ever worn. I recommend them to anyone needing a shoe that feels good and hold up to hard use.

I've owned 2 pairs of Ecco Tracks, both were the high ankle variety. Each has had the same problem that the sole disintegrated before it had a chance to wear out. Nevertheless, they were the most comfortable shoe I've ever worn.
Wears this shoe: Long walks in the forest on soft surfaces or in snow covering hard surfaces.

These shoes are great. This is the 4th time I've purchased these shoes. My job takes me to constructions sites and these shoes hold up in all kinds of terrain, yet they are comfortable and look good.

Good Alternative to Mephisto Match

As a long time Mephisto wearer, I've thought they can't be beat for comfort. The Ecco Track series are perhaps even better for about 2/3 the cost. I need wide shoes to compensate for flat feet, and these fit the bill. Recommended.

These are my favorite shoes and Ecco's most comfortable. My only major complaint is that the soles are very soft and wear way too quickly for a $200 shoe. Even if you don't wear these shoes but store them, the sole will disintegrate over time. It appears to be a manufacturing defect. Not good considering the price. Last, because the soles are made from multiple materials, the inner material disintegrates very fast once the outer material has worn through. My soles are totally worn and have actually separated from the shoe while the leather/Nubuck upper is perfect, as is the inside of the shoe. These were shoes that I wore only a few months but I had purchased a year or so earlier because I got a deal.I have tried many, many Ecco shoes because my ex-wife worked for them years ago so we got them at cost. The Track II is still my favorite shoe but since they don't last even a year, I won't be paying $200 for these. Ecco shoes do require a break-in period to mold themselves to your feet but after a few days, they are heaven. If Ecco would fix the wear problem with the sole, I'd buy another pair.

I started wearing this shoe several years ago when I developed a slight ankle problem - at the advice of a sports doctor.The shoe is not only comfortable,waterproof, warm in winter and long-wearing, it's sole is shock absorbing.I wouldn't wear anything else.
