Wears this shoe: Work requiring lots of walking and standing Reviewer: Robert M. from Minneapolis, Mn. Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width The shoe was just what I wanted! Wears this shoe: Daily for work Reviewer: Anonymous from Mountains of Colorado Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width I measure 12.5 N. This 12 N shoe fits like a glove but my toes don't hit the end. I come home and forget to change into slippers, as these are actually more comfortable than my slippers that cost more. I live in the Colorado mountains and find that the Clarks' soles are a slippery on ice, but otherwise perfect. I purchased some Rockports at the same time and the difference between the two is that I cannot wait to take the Rockports off at the end of the day (aching soles and sweaty feet) , yet I forget to take the Clarks off because I don't realize they are on my feet. You have to like the style but, for comfort, these are not to be matched. I have well over a thousand dollars of shoes in my closet, including handmade Italian loafers, but the Clarks are the ones I go to if nothing in the situation would disqualify them. I hope that Clarks would make some styles more suited to more business-like settings as I would purchase many more. These shoes certainly exceeded my expectations. This is my first review of shoes as I am so impressed and have had a generally terrible experience with shoe comfort. W. from Leesburg, FL Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width I have been buying SAS "Time Out" walking shoes for many years, but those now cost $148.00! Far out of my price range. Several years ago I found a pair of Clark's that are far superior to SAS in every way, especially price but also in overall fit, comfort, and durability. I walk 2 miles every day and the old ones are far from worn out. The new ones are handsome enough to wear to church. All of this, and a final price from ShoeBuy of roughly half that of SAS "Time Out". Wears this shoe: While new: Church, shopping mall, dining out. Later: walking. Reviewer: Steve L. from Lodi, New York Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width I bought these shoes for the good price and have been wearing them for years and they are very comfortable. Wears this shoe: Work. I have to stand and lecture most of my day Reviewer: walker from north of Philadelphia Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Like all Clarks, these are comfy, but they hit my ankle bone on one foot. I have to break this pair in. How unusual, but I like them and they fit fine for comfort while walking to and from train and work Wears this shoe: work 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful: Reviewer: jb from san francisco Shoe Size: Felt half size larger than marked Shoe Width: Felt true to width wearing these shoes the past couple of weeks, i'm happiest where the rubber meets the road: very comfortable for strolling and hiking. good support, good ride. they do seem just a bit roomy, though. would recommend buying a half size smaller than usual. the look is respectably unstylish: they're dad shoes, like all clarks. Wears this shoe: teaching, getaways, playing drums, eating, talking politics, day dreaming. Reviewer: Jim from Atlanta Ga. Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width This is one of the best fitting and most comfortable shoes I've yet tried. I'm on my third pair. Wears this shoe: Daily Reviewer: Bob from Corvallis, OR Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width This is my second pair of Clark's Portland. They wear very well, virtually scuff-proof, comfortable and usable for dress-up and even hiking. The price at Shoebuy.com was $20 less than the local store where I bought my first pair. Wears this shoe: Everywhere Reviewer: Anonymous from California Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Wear these at home and on my travels and have never encountered an uncomfortable step. My small feet - men's 6 1/2 ,make it difficult to find shoes that fit and are sturdy. My wife wishes Clarks still made them in brown nubuck as well as black and brown leather. Wears this shoe: Whenever I leave the house Reviewer: myron from hoover, al Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Excellent shoes for people who work on their feet. This is my second pair. Wears this shoe: work or casual outings Reviewer: Robbie from The Caribbean Shoe Width: Felt narrower than marked I bought these shoes for my husband for his birthday in April 2009 and he loves them. I bought a black pair and now thinking of getting him the brown leather ones also. They are really good shoes. My husband speaks of how comfortable they are. Wears this shoe: to play in a band at nights Reviewer: Mark from Phoenix, AZ Shoe Size: Felt true to size Shoe Width: Felt true to width Clarks are very comfortable and sturdy shoes. This is my second pair of this style. The last pair managed to last a year and a half of daily work use in an engine shop - on concrete all day long. No problems whatsoever with the leather uppers. The insides wore out first. For such a lightweight and flexible shoe, they sure are rugged. These shoes also breathe well. Will keep buying Clarks until they decide to stop making them.
